Apex Best Guns Guide

Spread the love

There is no doubt that some guns are better than others.  Take a look at the Mozambique and you will understand what I mean – you may be better off using your fists.  Of course, each player will have to play around with each gun to decide which ones they like best.  If you were wondering what are the best guns in Apex Legends read on to our Apex Best Guns Guide, we will give recommendations as to what we think are the best based off from feedback from top players. If you are still new, be sure to check out our Weapons Basics article.

Legendary – The best of the best

The Kraber

The Kraber is a .50 CAL sniper rifle that does 125 damage per shot and up to 250 for headshots.  If you are good with sniper rifles, this is as good as it gets.

The Mastiff

The Mastiff is a shotgun that has a unique ammo to it and does a whopping 144 damage per second.  When you are aiming the Mastiff, realize that it fires in a horizontal line.

The Peacekeeper is a shotgun that does 110 damage per second, impressive enough but add some scopes on it like the Precision Choke and you have a beast of a weapon.

The Wingman is a pistol that shoots fast and if you are accurate, it can be deadly.  Consider using an attachment like  Skullpiercer Rifling.

Epic – These guns are good top-level guns that we expect will see play in competitive Apex Legends.

M600 Spitfire

There are many people who swear by this LMG.  The M600 Spitfire has great accuracy and is a good all-around choice for midrange combat.  The recoil on this fires up and then left and then right. One of my person favorites.

G7 Scout

While this is a sniper rifle, the G7 Scout also functions well at midrange combat and adds a lot of versatility. It is also the only sniper rifle that takes light bullets and fires semi-automatically.  Headshots do 60 damage.

Longbow DMR

The Longbow DMR fires fairly slow but will hit for 110 to the dome.  The Scout is faster and it’s really up to preference whether you like something that is more versatile or heavy hitting.  This gun also has 5 attachment slots which gives a lot of wiggle room for improvement.

Devotion LMG

The Devotion is a bit different.  It is an LMG that takes a minute to charge up.  Consider adding a Turbocharger attachment to make this more stable.  One drawback to this gun is that it takes energy ammo, which can be a bit hard to find.

Triple Take

The Triple Take is good without any attachments but use a Precision Choke to help reduce the horizontal spread on this gun and turn this into a beastly gun.  Unfortunately, this also uses energy ammo which as we have stated before is a drawback because it can be hard to find.  It is not the best at long range despite being a sniper but can do good at mid-range combat.

The VK-47 Flatline is a fully automatic rifle is not bad.  It has a lot of recoil but can do 160 damage per second.  It is also capable of using many attachments, making this a somewhat versatile gun.  It can also fire in single shot mode.

R-301 Carbine

The R-301 Carbine is a rapid fire assault rifle.  It is capable of doing 336 damage per second.  It has 18 slots in the magazine and when you fire it recoils up and to the right.  If you get the right attachments, it can be deadly accurate.

R-99 SMG

The recoil on the R-99 SMG may be bad but can do a lot of damage (up to 216 damage per second).  One of the best features of this gun is that it can use many attachments which can really let you build a powerful weapon.

Hemlok Burst AR

The Hemlok is your typical three-round burst assault rifle.  Like many other assault rifles, it can use many attachments.  It can do 144 damage per second.  As far as assault rifles go, this one does the most damage if you are a headshot master.

Lower Tier – Not really worth using unless you are desperage

Alternator SMG

This double-barreled Alternator SMG feels awkward when you fire it.  It uses light ammo and should probably only be used when necessary.  To make matters worse It fires slowly.

EVA-8 Auto

The EVA-8 Auto is an automatic shotgun which can be okay when you have some attachments to it.  Otherwise, it isn’t that great at all – it pulls up and to the left.

R-99 SMG

The R-99 SMG is not exactly what you want to see in your inventory because the damage on it is poor.  One inkling of a benefit is that It does have very little recoil which is nice.

The Prowler is one of the only guns (the other is the Peacekeeper) that is different from Titanfall 2.  It fires 5 shots at a time and you can add an attachment like the Selectfire receiver.

The P2020 is not much better than the next one but it can be used in desperate close range situations.  It’s a pretty typical pistol.

Garbage – Throw it away as soon as possible

The RE-45 is an automatic pistol. While the damage and fire rate is great, what is really a problem is the recoil which makes this gun difficult to aim.

Mozambique Shotgun

I doubt I even have to say anything about the Mozambique as it’s easily the worst gun in the game.  This poor gun is even being ridiculed on social media.  You really need to be in close proximity or you won’t even land a shot.
