Respawn CEO, Vince Zampella, chimes in on Battle Pass

Players have been wondering when the Battle Pass is coming. We recently published an article that suggested the Battle Pass may be coming March 12th. The article also includes a leak of a new legend and new hero, so be sure to check it out if you haven’t.

If you are looking for official updates regarding the Battle Pass, we do not have much information yet as Respawn has repeatedly told us that they can’t give anymore information regarding the update. In fact, Vince Zampella, Respawn’s CEO, has given us the only bit of information regarding the Battle Pass that has been launched. So, what did we find out? Not much — only that the Battle Pass is being worked on.

His comment makes it clear that we should exhibit patience as they are working hard on the update. Many players speculated that the Battle Pass would be released on March 1st but were disappointed. Fans of Twitch streamer, shroud, thought that they had stumbled on privileged information when the streamer hinted at a strong possibility that a new hero would be coming. Unfortunately, Respawn let down many players by not updating the game over this weekend and also did not provide a weekly update as they have in past weekends. They did tease that their streaming equipment was ready, another hint that many player’s expected to lead to the Battle Pass being released.

Vince’s tweet leaves it vague as to when exactly the Battle Pass will be released (although the company has stated in the past that the Battle Pass would come out in March). Many fans have theorized that the Battle Pass update is being delayed due to some of the numerous problems (such as hitboxes, cheating and crashes) that have been plaguing the community.

For now, it seems that our option is to attempt to summon the Battle Pass.
